Swiss circa 1885, with heavy blued octagonal 34 1/2in. barrel, each flat with a blind flute, dove-tailed prominent blade fore-sight, sliding rear-sight of Mauser style on an incrementally numbered rail, plain receiver with polished free-ramp and shallow sides, walnut butt-stock with shallow raised cheek-piece and Swiss-style heel-plate, complex finger-spurred trigger-guard, double set triggers, walnut beavertail fore-end, off-set iron clearing rod and swivels for a sling.
