with 21 1/2in. barrel profusely marked with W.D. and Enfield proof and inspection stamps, wing protected front-sight and correct carbine pattern ladder rear-sight graduated to 1000 yards, the action body stamped with the Crown V.R. cypher over 'ENFIELD / 1877 / I .C.1', Interchangeable Mk 1', together with the small crown arrow inspection stamp, two piece walnut stock, the butt with a crisp W.D. Enfield 1st class roundel and a storekeeper date '7 / 1882' the carbine is complete with its rare and original black leather sight-cover but is missing its rod, traces of blue
