JACKSON (MAKER NOTTINGHAM) 12-BORE ELLIS & WILKINSON 1887 EJECTOR PATENT TOPLEVER HAMMER GUN, serial no. 55846, circa 1890, serial number on barrel loop only, 29 1/8in. nitro reproved barrels, the rib engraved 'JACKSON MAKER NOTTINGHAM', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, replacement one-piece extractor, treble-grip action incorporating C.O. Ellis & E.W. Wilkinson ejector system, patent no. 7222 of 18th May, 1887 (action missing sliding rods, locks with slides removed), carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, 13 3/4in. well-figured replacement stock (not cut internally to accommodate slide rods or slides to lockwork), engraved steel heel and toe plates, the fore-end retaining its ejector work, the iron engraved with the Osborne harpoon gun trade mark and patent number, weight 7lb. 2oz.
