converted from percussion circa 1872, with octagonal 8in. barrel signed on the top-flat, solid frame with dove-tailed standing breech added to the recoil shield, plain factory five-shot cylinder, replacement hammer and rammer, the latter with plunger removed and a side-mounted ejector rod added, brass trigger guard and smooth flared walnut grip, in a period English market oak case relined and compartmented for this revolver
