circa 1870, with octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel marked at breech 'MARIETTE BREVETE' and released via a thumbwheel and sliding forwards on a fixed cylinder rod with side mounted guided ejector, plain six-shot cylinder with external ratchet locking, full oversized pin-guard to standing breech, guarded double action trigger with spurred hammer and swept chequered walnut grip with lanyard ring at heel, traces of blued finish remaining
