for 1850-51, with rebrowned laminated 30 1/2in. barrels signed 'THOMAS BOSS, 73 ST JAMES'S STREET, LONDON' (refreshed), bead fore-sight, platinum vented plugs, London proofs with 'T.S.' makers marks, flambé needles and platinum line at breech, moulded fences and scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'THOMAS BOSS', reblacked dolphin headed engraved hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture, white metal oval vacant escutcheon to underside of butt, brass tipped ebony ramrod, in its maker's brass-cornered oak case with parchment trade-label inside lid and compartmented and lined in the original green baize and complete with glass and nickel oil-bottles, a reproduction brass Hawksley powder flask and a period leather shot flask with nickel-silver nozzle
