ARMY & NAVY C.S.L. 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 43822, for 1904, 30in. nitro barrels (loose on action), the rib with 'ARMY & NAVY C.S.L.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, some pitting and minor dents, treble-grip action with carved stylised leaf fences, automatic safety with blue enamelled 'SAFE' detail, extractor lifter detached (present), fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening, 14 7/8in. figured stock including 1in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 6lb. 12oz.

Provenance: The lot comes with two photocopied pages from the Army & Navy records confirming gun No. 43822 was a 'medium quality ejector guns' guns invoiced on the 27th April 1904 and sold to an E.G. Box Esq. on the 27th September 1905
