A SCARCE 12-BORE THORN 1910 PATENT DOUBLE-TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER EJECTOR, serial no. 013609,
circa 1933, 30in. nitro reproved Whitworth-steel chopperlump barrels with no top-rib and bead fore-sight, engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER 7. BURY STREET ST. JAMES'S LONDON ENGLAND', the breech end with bold acanthus scroll detailing and on the left side '2 1/2" CASE', tall scalloped-back action with ornately carved fences and short side bolsters, stepped tang with automatic safety and engraved brass 'SAFE' plaque, the action incorporating H.A.A. Thorn patent ejectors, patent no. 12,057 of 14th May 1910, characteristic creeping vine engraving with beaded bordering, bright and blued finish overall, 14 1/4in. figured stock, sculpted fore-end wood with horn finial and Deeley & Edge patent release, weight 6lb. 15oz., in a modern canvas motor case
