A VINTAGE BREAST AND BACK PLATE FROM A CAVALRY TROOPER'S UNIFORM,
probably mid 19th century and possibly Lifeguards, with breast plate with large domed brass rivet borders and pronounced medial ridge, traces of lining remaining on the inside, exterior surface shallow pitted, the back plate probably composed to the breast plate and with domed iron rivet decoration and two substantial leather shoulder-straps with brass twin socket keyhole fixings to attach to the breast plate, the buff leather waist strap inked '1831' and with field altered additional attached iron side-pieces
