FRANZ SODIA 16-BORE / 7X57MM DOUBLE-TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER NON-EJECTOR COMBINATION GUN / RIFLE, serial no. 22983, circa 1938, 23 3/4in. nitro reproved barrels with stepped raised solid wave cut top-rib, open sights and ramped bead fore-sight, the breech end with Sempert & Krieghoff marked quickly-detachable telescopic sight mount bases, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 3/4 choke, scroll-back treble-grip action with carved fences and side bolsters, gold pin cocking-indicators, tang mounted flush-fitting folding peepsight, set front trigger, horn triggerguard, Germanic scroll engraving with beaded bordering, retaining much renewed colour-hardening, 14in. pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels, engraved steel ammunition trap and including chequered horn buttplate, weight 6lb. 15oz.
