* A 64-BORE BALL-RESERVOIR AIR RIFLE SIGNED FOTHERBY, WAKEFIELD, no visible serial number,
circa 1810, with well rebrowned octagonal to sixteen-sided to round 30 3/4in. rifled barrel, carved and moulded girdle at the intersection, bead fore-sight, shallow standing notch rear-sight, oval gold poincon at breech signed 'WAKEFIELD' with two gold lines to rear, fully engraved tang inhabited with trophies, flat bevel-edged lock engraved with borders and scrolled detail and signed 'FOTHERBY' in script forwards of the engraved double ring-necked cocking piece, walnut half-stock with chequered wrist, engraved iron furniture (rubbed), single set trigger, under-rib with two iron thimbles and throat, replacement horn-tipped ramrod, copper spherical air-reservoir below the fore-end with central raised band
