probably by Webley circa 1875, with blued 3 5/8in. tapering octagonal barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving to the top-strap, borderline engraved blued solid frame marked 'LONDON' over the serial number on the left side, plain cylinder with external ratchet locking, flat-fronted cylinder rod, no provision for ejector, semi saw-handled walnut grip, guarded trigger, strong traces of finish remaining and together with a mahogany storage case, the tray lined and compartmented in blue baize and complete with lidded compartment, oil bottle, turn-screw and cleaning rod
