A PAIR OF 22-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS SIGNED BARBAR, no visible serial numbers,
mid 18th century, possibly by Lewis Barbar, with round iron two-stage 9in. barrels of Spanish form, London proofs and maker's mark 'IB' at breech, turned band at rear and solid squared top-tang, slightly radiused plain locks with pointed tails and signed 'BARBAR' below the shallow pans, unbridled frizzens, swan-necked cocks (one with brazed repair), walnut full-stocks, brass furniture including long-spurred bulbous butt-caps and turned ramrod thimbles retaining their original brass-faced ramrods
