A 16-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN, serial no. 1601,
circa 1850, with twist 30in. barrels, the top-rib signed 'HENRY TATHAM JNR. 37 CHARING CROSS LONDON' (rubbed but legible), a gamebird engraved to the rib-end, engraved bands, platinum lines and vented plugs to breech, fully border and scroll engraved top-tang featuring a circular panel with a further gamebird, border and scroll engraved back-action locks signed 'HY. TATHAM JNR.' within scrolled banners to both locks, scroll engraved slab-sided hammers with dolphin heads, chequered figured walnut half-stock with iron furniture (chequering rubbed) and original mahogany ramrod
