circa 1910, with 30in. heavy two-stage No.3 barrel fitted with a tunnel fore-sight and mounted with a Wm. Malcolm tube-sight (serial no. 3553) in Pope mounts, the tang fitted with a folding aperture rear-sight, double set triggers, action acid-engraved with scrollwork and a vignette of a hunting hound on the left side and a stag's head on the right side, retaining much original colour-hardened finish, loop finger-lever, 13 1/4in. well figured semi-pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, schnabel fore-end, foliate engraved nickel-plated 'Swiss' buttplate and hinged mallet-type palm-rest
