A 7.63 (MAUSER) ENGRAVED SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, MODEL 'C96 'BROOMHANDLE'', serial no. 231573,
for between 1911-1915, with blued 5 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight surrounded by scroll engraving at the muzzle, further scroll engraving extending forwards along the barrel from the breech, full scroll engraving along the sides of the receiver, the rear-sight and cocking-piece polished bright, full scroll engraving along both sides of the frame, the front of magazine housing and grip-straps left plain, scroll engraved magazine floor-plate with centrally mounted gold carved and engraved eagle, walnut grips with 32 horizontal grooves, the whole professionally refinished to a high standard, complete with a wooden holster-stock, miss matched serial number, lid replaced
Other Notes: The engraving on this Mauser was almost certainly conducted post manufacture, most likely in South America during the 1970's
