A 50-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'WEDGE-FRAME', serial no. 3865,
circa 1855, with semi octagonal 6in. barrel, borderline engraving to the top-strap and muzzle, small dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to standing breech, plain cylinder with moulded leading edge, split frame with wedge construction, chequered walnut grip and double-action trigger with spurred hammer, the whole retaining a good amount of original finish; TOGETHER WITH a period oak storage case compartmented and lined in green baize.
