circa 1902, 30in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels, ribs engraved 'JNO. RIGBY & CO. 72. ST. JAMES'S ST. LONDON' in gothic script and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends amid bold acanthus detailing, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, No.1 right wall at 15;
extra 30in. London proofed nitro barrels for No.2 gun unsigned, acanthus scroll detailing to the breech end of rib and gold-inlaid '2', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke;
treble-grip actions incorporating J. Rigby and T. Bissell patent rising third bites, patent no. 1141 of 1879, use numbers 811 and 812, action numbers 2642 and 2643, carved leaf fences, slender toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, dipped-edge lockplates, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of colour-hardening and renewed finish, 14 1/2in. figured stocks (minor grain split at hand No.2) including 1in. rubber recoil pads, fore-ends with Rigby patent grip catch release levers engraved 'RIGBY'S PATENT' and ejector / non-ejector selector nuts, weight 6lb. 9oz. (No.1), 6lb. 12oz. (No.2, original barrels) and 6lb. 13oz. (No.2 extra barrels), in their brass-cornered oak and leather case and canvas barrel slip for the extra barrels
