for 1921, 29 15/16in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels, replacement rib engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. W.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. choke in both, sideclipped treble-grip action with hidden third bite, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining much renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. replacement stock including 1in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 7lb. 7oz., in a leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed on the 8th June 1921 as a 12-bore (2 3/4in.) hammerless ejector pigeon gun, 30in. Whitworth steel barrels, full choke in both, for Eduardo Schilling of Barcelona. The records also state the rib to be 'matted pigeon' and that the gun should have 'usual inscription on barrels'
