26in. nitro chopperlump barrels, ribs engraved 'BOSS & CO, LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, multichokes (with spares), toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, removable striker discs, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguards, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and finish, triggerguard tangs gold-inlaid with the serial numbers, 15 3/8in. well-figured stocks, weight 6lb. 11oz., in their lightweight leather motor case with accessories, chokes and brass choke key
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were sold in November 2011.
This pair and the following Lot are the property of a Gentleman who has kindly supplied us with the following information regarding the guns:
"I have been shooting for many years, back in Norway where I am from as well. I had various guns, some second hand as well.
I decided then to get some English side by side guns and got a pair or 30" Boss & Co in late 2009.
Fantastic guns, really enjoyed the pair so much that I decided to get another pair with 26" barrels for grouse shooting, got them in 2011.
I shot with both pairs at various shoots, with loader, at Tulchan and Phoines Estates amongst others.
Now, back in 2013 I decided to go for 20 gauge, and as age creeps on found that to be better for me.
Hence I have now decided to part with my beautiful guns and hope someone out there will take them and have just as wonderful and exciting times as I have had with them."
