for 1882, with round tapering 2 1/4in. barrel signed by the maker on two lines, solid frame with side cut-out for loading, fluted cylinder, spur trigger and chequered gutta percha birdshead grips embossed with the 'Colt' trademark at head, the back-strap engraved 'F.T. BAKER, 88 FLEET STREET, LONDON' in script, traces of nickel finish, frosting to the right hand side
