AN 11mm PERCUSSION JAGER-RIFLE, no visible serial number,
circa 1855, possibly a cadet rifle, with octagonal 28 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight blade, bayonet bar to right hand side of muzzle, elevating rear-sight with tangent side protectors, scroll engraved top to breech, plain top-tang, plain back-action lock signed 'WEYGAND WIESBADEN', walnut full-stock (crack forward of side-nail), finely chequered wrist, unusual ambidextrous carved tear-drop cheek-piece, iron furniture, double set triggers, the lower tang with pistol-gripped spur, twin barrel keys, the front stirrup swivel acting as a third and possible replacement brass tipped ramrod
