Product Details
A REPLICA MODEL OF THE VESSEL 'THE CUTTY SARK',
a hand-made model with full sails, measuring approx. 70in. x 43in. x 17in.
Other Notes: The Cutty Sark was a famous English tea clipper that was built in 1869 and originally used for the China tea trade. It was one of the last clipper ships built before the steam powered ships took over the route.
The ship, with its distinctive female figurehead, was named after Cutty-Sark, in the nickname of the witch Nannie Dee in Robert Burns 1791 poem 'Tam O'Shanter'.
