A CASED 12-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, serial no. 2106,
circa 1865, with 30in. damascus barrels (marked at 14-bore), the raised flat sighting rib signed 'WITTON & DAW, 57 THREADNEEDLE STREET, LONDON', carved radiused tip to rib at muzzle with applied white-metal bead, scroll engraving to rib-end at breech, engraved platinum vented plugs, border and scroll engraved radiused bar-action locks signed 'WITTON & DAW', chequered walnut half-stock with inverted gold shield-shaped escutcheon at wrist, iron furniture and white-metal mounted ebony ramrod, together with a period, possibly associated oak storage case compartmented and lined in green baize retaining remnants of a George Daw trade label.
