USA PATENTED AUGUST 21 1894', slab-sided blued action with central hammer and fitted with a contemporary 'LYMAN' receiver sight, top-tang marked 'MODEL 1894, WINCHESTER, TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FOREIGN', chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock with hard-rubber grip cap, iron crescent heel-plate, curved under-lever, plain trigger, chequered walnut fore-end with iron cap, full-length magazine with take-down lever at tip, fitted with eyelets for the Winchester sling (absent), strong amount of finish remaining
