A .650 PERCUSSION CAVALRY CARBINE TO THE NAGPORE IRREGULAR CAVALRY, serial no. 142,
circa 1857, with round 22in. barrel, blade fore-sight, breech of octagonal form signed 'W. GREENER LONDON' and marked ''15' over 'NIC' over '142' on top, plain top-tang with standing notch rear-sight, carved snail, plain lock of flint form signed 'W. GREENER', walnut full-stock with brass furniture including heel-plate and finger-spurred lower tang, flat brass nose-cap and captive iron swivel ramrod and stirrup swivels

The Nagpore Irregular Cavalry (often erroneously referred to as 'Horse') were raised on 11th Sept 1854 and stationed at Sitabaldi. They were disbanded in 1861 and recorded as having mutinied in 1857.
