AN UNUSUAL 10-BORE FLINTLOCK SPORTING BLUNDERBUSS or FOWLING-PIECE SIGNED TOWER, no visible serial number,
circa 1770 with some earlier parts, strongly flared two-stage 32in. twist iron barrel (pitted externally), traces of engraved decoration at breech, solid flared top-tang, military style lock signed 'TOWER' and probably re-used from an earlier service musket, traces of a Georgian crown device, walnut full-stock with chequered handrail butt of continental form (old inlet repairs and repaired cracks), brass furniture and replacement iron ramrod
