circa 1840, with blued octagonal 5 5/8in. barrel, bead fore-sight, plain six-shot cylinder with engraved band to the leading edge, open frame with rounded scroll engraved action, central bar-hammer with scroll engraving, finely chequered walnut grips with scroll engraved flat iron butt-cap and back-strap, guarded trigger and no provision for rammer, traces of original finish remaining and complete with a period oak case for the same revolver compartmented and lined in coarse green baize and including a bag-shaped flask, scissors bullet mould, cap tin and loading rod, all probably associated
