circa 1815, with banded octagonal to round 8in. barrel, flared and banded muzzle, the top-flat at breech signed 'LONDON', folding triangular form fluted bayonet mounted to top of barrel and released via a pull-back catch on the tang, Birmingham proofs, flat, slightly curved bevel-edged lock with stepped tail and signed 'BASS' below the pan, sliding safe behind the swan-necked cock, roller frizzen spring, walnut full-stock with smooth bag-shaped butt, brass furniture including double roll-edged guard with acorn finial and brass tipped wood ramrod, weight approximately 2 1/8lbs., overall length 13 3/4in.
