A GOOD JAPANESE WORLD WAR TWO SHIN-GUNTO MOUNTED KATANA WITH SIGNED BLADE,
with 26 3/4in. 'shinshinto' blade in a good state of polish and signed on both sides of the tang, visible narrow straight 'hamon' extending around the 'kissaki', copper 'habaki' , single 'mekugi-ana' to the tang, military mounts including gilded 'tsuba' and gilt borders to the other furniture pieces, brown cotton-bound rayskin hilt, brown painted 'saya' (small chips to paint), generally very good throughout (locking catch broken)
