circa 1895, with blued ovoid 2 1/2in. barrel signed on the top and right side 'W. RICHARDS, 27 OLD HALL ST., LIVERPOOL', crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, the borders either side marked 'THE BRITISH' and 'BULLDOG', blued fluted cylinder, blued solid frame signed and numbered by Webley, chequered walnut birdshead grip, guarded trigger and swing out brushed bright ejector housed in the cylinder arbour, much original finish remaining throughout
