dated for 1810, with twist octagonal 32in. barrel, the top-flat marked in gilt letters 'JOHN PARKER ESQ'R 1810' (small losses to inlay), bead fore-sight, the flat grooved for a later tunnel protector (absent), standing notch rear-sight with four replacement additional folding leaves, the breech block inlet with two gold lines, trophy engraved top-tang, socket mounted at wrist for a peep-sight (missing), border engraved bevel-edged lock (unsigned), swan-necked cock with later flash-guard, re-lined rainproof pan, finely chequered walnut half-stock with straight grip, raised cheek-piece, iron furniture and under-barrel ramrod, weight approximately 8 1/2lbs., overall length 47 3/4in.
