A .177 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'No.4 CLUB', serial no. C287,
for 1936, with 19 1/4in. reblued barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, elevating notch rear-sight, simplified loading tap at breech, plain air-chamber (no etching visible), single screw trigger block, walnut saw-handled butt-stock with pressed chequered panel at grip, ribbed heel, trigger weight adjuster mounted in guard, no provision for fore-end and push button release under-lever, professional reblue throughout
Provenance: The last under-lever air-rifle produced by BSA before World War Two, the No4 Club, not to be confused with the earlier 'Club Special' is quite a rare rifle, being produced in only around 3000 units between 1936-1939
