circa 1888, with ovoid 4 1/2in. barrel, solid frame signed on the top-strap and marked with the calibre and model details on the left front of frame, six-shot fluted cylinder, side loading gate, chequered walnut one-piece grip with lanyard ring at heel, guarded trigger and 'acorn' shaped tip to the ejector rod, in a later quality reproduction oak case lined and compartmented in pale blue baize complete with a period glass oil bottle and reproduction ammunition carton
