circa 1780 and possibly by James Barber, with round triple-staged 16in. barrel, off-set banded muzzle, engraved bands at the intersections, London proofs and 'I.B.' maker's mark at breech, solid iron top-tang, flat plain complex shaped bevel-edged lock with ring-necked cock (top of frizzen chipped and frizzen-spring broken), walnut handrail full-stock (cracks and repairs to fore-end), early form moulded iron furniture including pillar-front trigger guard bow and replacement iron ramrod
