NEW YORK', and on the right 'BALLARD'S PATENT / NOV. 5 1861', the falling block action is operated by an underlever and has a centre hammer, the action body is drilled for a tang sight, two piece walnut stock the butt with crescent butt plate, the rifle has good barrel and action, the stock worn and cracked in places the forend damaged and pieces missing,
