circa 1859, with 33in. barrel, barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight to 1100 yards, bayonet lug at muzzle with short extension bar as typical of the P56 pattern, borderline engraved lock bearing the crown cypher and dated '1859' to the centre, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock, with small inset white metal escutcheon just forward of the triggerguard etched with the original owners crest, complete with sling swivels and original rod
