circa 1862, with 36 1/2in. barrel retaining much original fading blue finish and struck with full Enfield military proof and inspection stamps, barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight, the lock stamped with the Crown V.R. cypher on the tail and '1862 ENFIELD' to the centre, brass mounted figured full walnut stock the right side of the butt stamped with a crisp Enfield 1st Class roundel, complete with sling swivels and original square headed rod
