* AN 18-BORE PERCUSSION CONTINENTAL SPORTING-GUN SIGNED SAETTER, no visible serial number, circa 1735 with later conversion to percussion, with slightly swamped iron 34 3/4in. barrel, reeded octagonal breech-section, the top-flat marked 'SOUVENIR' within a borderline panel, carved decoration at the intersection, plain radiused lock with pointed tail signed below the previous pan cut-out in a banner, walnut full-stock with skip-chequered wrist and fore-end, the wrist enhanced with white metal nails (all rubbed), raised cheekpiece, brass furniture and button and stirrup swivels, missing ramrod, together with a similar period flat-form lanthorn powder-flask (as found)
