for 1934, 28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the rib engraved 'FOR TWO INCH CASES ONLY' and in script '"Badminton"', the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, action with slender fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand-detachable lockplates, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining some colour-hardening and finish overall, 14 1/4in. stock including 1 1/2in. wooden extension (some inking to match), weight 6lb. 6oz., in a lightweight leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed as a '12/2 Badminton hammerless ejector' with 28in. steel barrels for a Capt. C.J. Jones in 1934, at a cost of £75.
