circa 1908, 30in. nitro barrels (No.1 reproved in 1971), ribs engraved 'J. ROBERTSON. 13. DOVER STREET. PICCADILLY. LONDON. W.', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, No.1 loose on action, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum and some dents/bulging, No. 2 left bore dimension marginal, some dents, scoop-back actions, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fine acanthus scroll engraving with central scrolling banners engraved 'J. ROBERTSON' surrounded by an elaborate floral bouquet, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15in. replacement stock (No.1) and 14 3/4in. well-figured stock (No.2), No.1 ejectors at fault, weight 6lb. 8oz., in a canvas motor case
