all circa 1865, the first Belgian and of Lefaucheux style, with shortened 3in. barrel, florally engraved open iron frame with en-suite six-shot cylinder, double action mechanism with spurred hammer and folding trigger and chequered walnut bag-shaped grips, the second similar but with 3 1/2in. barrel, brass frame and flared smooth ebony grips, the last a French Javelle Patent with quick release hinged 3 1/4in. barrel breaking downwards for removing and loading the plain cylinder via a swing lever, open iron frame and smooth cranked walnut grips
