circa 1866, with blued octagonal profile 3in. barrel, raised top-rib signed 'CONN. ARMS CO NORFOLK CONN', nickel crescent fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, plain blued six-shot cylinder with two lines of patent details and pierced towards the rear for both ignition and ejection purposes, brass solid frame with frame-mounted ejector to right side, spur trigger, colour hardened hammer and smooth flared walnut grips, strong traces of blued finish remaining where appropriate
