for 1973, 29 7/8in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2024) with 16mm ventilated matt top-rib, 3in. chambers, approx. 1/4 choke inserts both, three-piece fore-end, hold-open toplever, manual safety with integral barrel selector switch and gold-inlaid 'O', 'U' and 'S' details, broad gold-washed trigger, fine acanthus scroll engraving with some chequered panels and raised gold line and scroll detailing, the sideplates with gold-inlaid game scenes of duck in a wetland setting to the left, pheasant in a woodland setting to the right, the underside with a spaniel retrieving woodcock, the triggerplate signed 'R. CAPECE', 14 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock including 3/8in. buttpad, weight 7lb 14oz.
