Product Details

* A .750 FLINTLOCK TRADE MUSKET OF 'BROWN BESS' FORM SIGNED LONDON, no visible serial number,
circa 1830, with round iron 38 1/2in. barrel, block fore-sight, Birmingham proofs, solid top-tang with moulded band at breech, plain lock signed 'LONDON' below the shallow pan, ring-necked cock, walnut handrail full-stock with brass furniture, four ramrod thimbles and iron ramrod

Provenance: This musket is probably the work of Edward London, who traded at various locations on London Wall between 1826-72. His trade label at the time advertised 'An Assortment of Rifles For Canada & The East Indies' and this musket was almost certainly produced for the colonies utilising obsolete parts
