for 1892, 30 1/8in. Greener trade mark steel nitro reproved barrels (in 2024), the rib engraved 'W.W. GREENER. 68 HAYMARKET. LONDON. ST. MARY'S SQUARE. BIRMINGHAM. DEPOT UNIQUE. 8 AVENUE DE L'OPERA PARIS. WINNER AT THE LONDON GUN TRIALS. 1875. 1877. 1878 & 1879.' and 'PATENT WEDGE FAST', the breech ends with fine floral and acanthus scroll detailing, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, scroll-back treble-grip action incorporating Greener patent 2003 of 1881, use number 2150, carved serpentine fences, manual side-safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral details, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 13 5/8in. well-figured stock (light damage at hand to the left side) with diamond grip, horn drop points and ornate bordering to the chequering, 5/8in. recoil pad, the underside with a screw (possibly plugging a sling swivel hole), the fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release and horn finial, weight 6lb. 11oz.
