A GOOD CASED PAIR OF .650 PERCUSSION OFFICER'S PISTOLS SIGNED T.K. BAKER, LONDON, serial numbered 182,
for 1846-49, with browned laminated octagonal 7 3/4in. barrels signed on the top-flat 'K. BAKER (sic), 34 ST JAMES ST'T LONDON', dove-tailed blued fore and rear-sights, colour hardened patent breech-blocks with vented plugs, fully engraved colour hardened top-tangs, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action colour hardened locks signed 'T.K. BAKER', colour hardened hammers (both with small fractures forming at base of spurs), walnut full-stocks with chequered swept grips, vacant clipped-corner white-metal escutcheons to wrists, scroll engraved colour hardened shallow domed butt-caps with central trapdoors, blued trigger-guard bows, white metal oval barrel key escutcheons and captive iron stirrup ramrods, both pistols retaining virtually all their original colour and finish and complete in their maker's dark oak case, lined and compartmented in green baize, parchment trade-label inside lid (rubbed) and including a lozenge-bodied flask (mainspring lacking), scissors mould, nipple-key, turn-screw, oil-bottle, mahogany loading rod with additional jag tip and a turned hardwood cap-pot with engraved white-metal escutcheon (case key absent)
