circa 1921, 'serial number' a later registration mark stamped to flats of barrels and action, 28in. nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'T. THACKER. CHURCH ST. WORCESTER', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, some pits, automatic safety, the toplever engraved with the portrait of a retriever, beaded border engraving surrounding game scenes of pheasant and English partridge, the floorplate with a retriever with duck, the triggerguard with a further retriever with rabbit, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and traces of finish, 14in. figured stock with horn-inlaid drop points, minor cracks at hand, including 3/8in. wooden Beretta buttplate, bolstered fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 3oz.
