* A FINE AND RARE CASED LUDWIG LOEWE 7.65x25mm (BORCHARDT) MODEL C93 'SYSTEM BORCHARDT PATENT' PISTOL WITH ACCESSORIES, serial no. 998,
retailed by William Moore & Grey, London, circa 1896, with 7 1/2in. sighted barrel, receiver-ring signed 'WAFFENFABRIK LOEWE BERLIN' and side of the receiver 'SYSTEM BORCHARDT PATENT', the toggle marked 'D.R.P. NO. 75837', extension to the cocking piece on the left hand side, the mainspring housing engraved 'R. EDLMANN' on the right and 'SCHUILHOEK' on the left, chequered walnut grips, the whole retaining the majority of its original finish and colour, all matching numbers including magazine, complete with its retailer's matching leather case with outer strap, lined and compartmented in green baize and containing a further three matching number magazines, matching number stock-board complete with cheek-piece and with attached leather holster (finish on leather worn), the underside edge stamped 'GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT' (legally protected), a wood and brass stripping tool oiler combined also marked as the last, a brass cleaning rod (probably unassociated), an empty card carton for 50 cartridges in clips (no contents, lid end flap torn) and a Borchardt dismountable turn-screw with a selection of blades, the inside of case lid with parchment William Moore & Grey trade label
