for 1885, 27in. nitro reproved damascus barrels, rib engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT 67A ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. in both, barrels shortened and rib loose, H. W. Holland and J. Robertson patent barrel-cocking sidelever action, patent no. 23 of 1st January 1883, with cocking levers working alternately to reduce stiffness in operating (the right cocking on opening, the left on closing), automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, triggerguard misshapen, 15in. stock, weight 6lb. 13oz.
